How to Embed Pictures for Your Surveys

When conducting your ecological momentary assessment (EMA) and experience sampling method (ESM) project, you may want to embed pictures for several reasons. These include:

-Increasing engagement among participants

-Presenting stimuli as part of an experiment within EMA and ESM

-Creating survey questions that require pictures

Researchers can embed pictures in their surveys by clicking on the "Embed Media" button for different survey questions.

This will pull up a modal in which researchers can either drag and drop their picture or insert a URL link of the image.

Once a picture is uploaded, it will be shown below the question options in the bottom right panel. In this case, we have the "ExpiWell" logo.

Please note that the picture appearance on the website may not represent how it will look on the mobile app. The mobile picture presentation is well-formatted.
